PPTA Proposal

The Commonwealth of Virginia has received an unsolicited conceptual proposal from APM Terminals, Inc. (APMT) to operate certain state-owned/leased terminals of the Port of Virginia. APMT submitted its unsolicited conceptual proposal pursuant to the Public-Private Transportation Act of 1995. The Virginia Port Authority (VPA) and the Office of Transportation Public-Private Partnerships (OTP3) will continue evaluating APMT’s unsolicited conceptual proposal and begin allowing other private entities to submit alternative proposals. The deadline for submission of alternative proposals is 5:00 p.m. (EST) on August 13, 2012.
